Fixing "Too many redirects"
Usually a mismatch between http, https and the site address.
The browser gave up because the page kept redirecting in a loop.
- Clear your browser cookies for the site, and try again.
- Check the site address: in
wp-config.phpor Settings → General,WordPress AddressandSite Addressshould be identical and both start withhttps://(with or withoutwww, but the same). - Check `.htaccess`: remove any HTTPS or www redirect rules you added, and test.
- Disable redirect or SSL plugins by renaming their folders in
wp-content/plugins.
To set the address without the dashboard, add these lines to wp-config.php: define('WP_HOME','https://example.com'); define('WP_SITEURL','https://example.com');
