Attacks and port scans
What we watch for, and what you can do.
Our team watches your server around the clock for unusual traffic (DDoS), floods of half-open connections (SYN floods), port scans, and servers sending strange traffic out. If something happens, we act on it and let you know.
- Port scans alone are common on the internet and don't mean the server is compromised.
- The best protection is a firewall that opens only the ports you need, with strong passwords or SSH keys.
- If your site suddenly slows down or stops responding, contact support and say when it started.
