I can't get into my server

Steps in order, from easiest to last resort.

  1. Check the server is running at the top of the page. If not, start it from Power.
  2. If the firewall is on, make sure your access port is allowed (22 for SSH, 3389 for RDP), or turn the firewall off for a moment.
  3. Open the Console in your browser and sign in without the network.
  4. If you forgot the password, use Reset password in Recovery.
  5. If the system itself doesn't start, use Rescue mode to reach your files.

Reinstalling erases everything on the server, so keep it as the last resort and copy your data first.
