"503" or "508 Resource Limit Reached"
Your site used all the CPU, memory or processes your plan allows.
On this page
Shared and web hosting plans give each account a fair share of the server. When a site needs more for a while, visitors may see 503 or 508.
Find out why
In cPanel, open Resource Usage (or CPU and Concurrent Connection Usage) to see which limit was hit and when.
Common causes and fixes
- No caching: turn on LiteSpeed Cache.
- Bots and crawlers: aggressive bots can hit a site hard. Ask support to check your access logs.
- Heavy plugins or scheduled tasks: disable plugins one by one, and replace WP-Cron.
- Real growth: if your traffic has simply grown, upgrade your plan or move to a VPS.
