Buying a domain for your Shopify store

Register it at IDX, keep full control, and connect it to Shopify.

You can register your store's domain at IDX instead of inside Shopify. You keep the domain separate from the platform, so you can move the store later without losing your address, and you can add business email on the same domain.

  1. Register the domain at IDX.
  2. Optionally, add a business email plan for addresses like orders@yourstore.com.
  3. Connect the domain to Shopify with two DNS records.
