Changing the PHP version and settings

Pick the PHP version your site needs and adjust limits.

On this page

Changing the version

  1. In cPanel, open MultiPHP Manager (or Select PHP Version where your plan shows it).
  2. Select the domain and choose the PHP version.
  3. Click Apply.

Use a currently supported PHP version for security and speed. Check your application's requirements first: older plugins or themes may not support the newest version. See PHP version support.

Changing limits

Open MultiPHP INI Editor (or the Options tab of Select PHP Version) to change values such as:

SettingWhat it controls
memory_limitMemory each PHP request can use
upload_max_filesize / post_max_sizeLargest file you can upload
max_execution_timeHow long a request may run

After changing the PHP version, check your website straight away. If something breaks, switch back to the previous version.
