Just registered a domain: what to do next
Point it, protect it and put it to work.
- Check it appears under My domains, with the right owner details. See Updating a domain's owner details.
- Keep the registrar lock on and turn on auto-renew. See Domain lock and Renewing a domain.
- Point it somewhere:
- IDX hosting: nameservers.
- Your own server: A records.
- Shopify: two DNS records.
- Add business email on it: see Business email or Microsoft 365.
