Just bought hosting: what to do next
A ten-minute checklist from welcome email to a live site.
- Find your welcome email (or My services in the client area).
- Log in to cPanel from the client area in one click. See Logging in to cPanel.
- Make sure your domain points to the hosting. If you ordered them together it's automatic; otherwise see Changing nameservers.
- Build the site: install WordPress, or upload your files. Moving an existing site? We move it for free.
- Create your email addresses and add them to your phone. See Creating an email account.
- Check HTTPS works (free and automatic). See Free SSL with AutoSSL.
- Set up SPF, DKIM and DMARC so your email isn't treated as spam. See the guide.
