Renewing a domain
Renew on time, turn on auto-renewal and recover an expired domain.

Renewing
- Sign in to the client area and open My domains.
- Select the domain and choose Renew, then the number of years.
- Pay the invoice. The new expiry date appears once it's paid.
Renewal invoices are also created automatically before the expiry date.
Auto-renewal
Turn on Auto renew on the domain page so a renewal invoice is created every year. You still need to pay it.
When a domain expires
- The website and email on it stop working.
- For a short grace period after expiry you can usually still renew it at the normal price.
- After that, recovering it may cost extra, and eventually it's released and anyone can register it.
Renew important domains for several years at a time, and keep your account email current so reminders reach you.
