Which domain extension should I choose?
.com, a country extension, or something else.
- .com is the most recognised worldwide. If it's available, take it.
- A country extension (
.eg,.com.eg,.sa…) tells visitors you're local, and can help with local search. Egyptian extensions need documents; see Registering a .eg domain. - .net, .org, .co and others are good alternatives when .com is taken.
Many businesses register both .com and their country extension, and point one to the other.
