Creating a subdomain

Make shop.example.com or blog.example.com for a separate site.

A subdomain is a separate address under your domain, such as shop.example.com, with its own folder.

  1. In cPanel, open Domains and click Create a new domain.
  2. Enter the full subdomain, for example shop.example.com.
  3. Keep or change the folder, then click Submit.
  4. Upload the files for that site into its folder, or install an app on it with Softaculous.

An SSL certificate is issued for the subdomain automatically within a short while. See Free SSL with AutoSSL.
