Email sending limits on shared hosting
Up to 100 emails per hour per account, and what to do if you need more.
On shared hosting, an account may send up to 100 emails per hour. The limit protects the shared server's reputation, so everyone's email reaches the inbox. Accounts that go over it can be throttled or temporarily restricted.
Sending newsletters or bulk email
Don't send newsletters from your hosting mailbox. Instead:
- Use an email marketing or delivery service for newsletters and bulk mail.
- Or move to a VPS or dedicated server with your own mail setup.
Sending unsolicited bulk email (spam) breaks our Acceptable Use Policy and can lead to suspension.
