Registering a new domain
Search for a name, add it to the cart and register it.
On this page
Steps
- Search for the name on the Domains page or in the client area under Domains → Register a new domain.
- If it's available, add it to the cart. If not, try another extension (.net, .co, .com.eg) or a variation of the name.
- Choose the registration period (one year or more).
- Check out and pay. The domain appears under My domains once registration completes.
Choosing a good name
- Short, easy to say and easy to spell.
- Avoid hyphens and doubled letters; people mistype them.
- Consider registering both .com and your country extension, so no one else takes it.
Registering a domain gives you the right to use it for the period you paid for. Renew it before it expires to keep it. See Renewing a domain.
Country extensions
.eg domains (such as .com.eg) need documents from the registrant. See Registering a .eg domain.
