Domain lock and why it matters

The lock that stops your domain being transferred without you.

The registrar lock (shown in WHOIS as *clientTransferProhibited*) prevents your domain from being transferred to another provider. Keep it on at all times, and turn it off only when you are transferring the domain yourself.

  1. Sign in to the client area and open the domain under My domains.
  2. Open Registrar lock, turn it on or off and save.
