Setting up taxes (VAT)
Turn on taxes and add the rates that apply to your business.
- Go to WooCommerce → Settings → General and tick Enable tax rates and calculations.
- Open the Tax tab and choose whether the prices you enter include tax or not, and how prices are shown in the shop and cart.
- Open Standard rates and add a row for each country with its rate and a name (for example "VAT").
- Save, and check the totals on a test order.
Tax rules depend on your country and your business. Confirm the correct rates, and whether you must register, with your accountant before you start selling.
