Setting up shipping

Shipping zones, flat rates, free shipping and local pickup.

Shipping in WooCommerce is organised into zones: areas you deliver to, each with its own methods and prices.

  1. Go to WooCommerce → Settings → Shipping → Add zone.
  2. Name the zone (for example "Cairo and Giza") and choose its regions: countries, states or governorates, or postcodes.
  3. Add shipping methods to the zone:
    • Flat rate: a fixed price per order, or per item.
    • Free shipping: always, or above a minimum order amount.
    • Local pickup: customers collect from your shop.
  4. Save, then repeat for each zone (for example "Other governorates", "Gulf countries").

Orders from places not in any zone use the zone "Locations not covered by your other zones". Leave it without methods if you don't ship there.

Courier integrations

Many local courier companies offer WooCommerce plugins that create shipments and print labels from your orders. Ask your courier which plugin they support.
