Accepting payments
Cash on delivery, card gateways in Egypt and the Gulf, and testing.

Go to WooCommerce → Settings → Payments to turn payment methods on and off.

- Cash on delivery: popular in Egypt and the Gulf. Turn it on and choose the shipping methods it applies to.
- Direct bank transfer: customers transfer to your account, and you confirm the order once the money arrives.
Card payments
To accept cards online you need an account with a payment gateway, which gives you a WooCommerce plugin and API keys. Choose one that works in your country and currency. Examples include:

Then:
- Open a merchant account with the gateway and get your API keys.
- Install its WooCommerce plugin and enter the keys.
- Run a test payment in its test / sandbox mode, then switch to live.
Check each gateway's fees, payout times and supported currencies with the provider before you sign up.
Never store card numbers yourself. A gateway takes the payment on its own secure page or form, which keeps your store out of the scope of most card-security rules.
