How to start a website for a school, nursery or training centre

Parents and learners research carefully before enrolling. A clear website with programmes, fees and admissions builds the confidence to apply.

Choosing a school or training programme is a big decision. Parents and learners compare options online for weeks, and your website has to answer their questions and make applying easy.

What to include

  • Programmes or curriculum, by stage or course.
  • Admissions: requirements, dates and an online application or enquiry form.
  • Fees, or at least how to request them.
  • Staff and facilities, with real photos.
  • News and events, kept current.
  • Location, transport and contact details.

Step 1: domain

Use the institution's name. Register your domain at IDX; educational institutions in Egypt can also look at the .edu.eg and other .eg endings, which have their own requirements.

Step 2: hosting

An information site runs well on IDX shared hosting. If you add a learning platform, student accounts or online payments, choose web hosting or a cloud VPS.

Step 3: email for staff and admissions

Give teachers and admissions official addresses with business email. Team plans include mailing lists, useful for staff groups and announcements.

Step 4: build

Bilingual content, a simple admissions journey and fast mobile pages matter more than animations.

Step 5: keep parents informed

A news section and regular updates show an active, well-run institution.
