How to start a website for your business, from zero to live

A professional business website needs four things: a domain, hosting, email on your domain and a site people trust. Here is the order to do it in.

Starting a business website feels technical, but the steps are the same for almost every company. Do them in this order and you will be live in days, not months.

1. Register your domain

Your domain is your address online, such as yourbusiness.com. Choose something short, easy to say and close to your brand name. Search and register your domain at IDX; if most of your customers are in Egypt, consider a .com.eg or .eg domain as well.

2. Choose hosting

Hosting is where your website's files live. For a company website, shared hosting is affordable and more than enough to start. If you expect heavy traffic or an online store, web hosting gives you more resources on the same easy cPanel. Compare all plans on the pricing page.

3. Set up email on your domain

Quotes from sales@yourbusiness.com build trust that a free address cannot. Create mailboxes in your hosting account, or choose a dedicated business email plan for your team.

4. Build the site

Most business sites are built on WordPress, installed in one click from cPanel. You need a home page, services, about, and contact page with a form, map and WhatsApp button.

5. Secure and launch

Turn on the free SSL certificate so your site opens with https, test it on a phone, then submit it to Google Search Console.
