A backup strategy that actually works

The 3-2-1 rule
- 3 copies of your data,
- on 2 different kinds of storage,
- with 1 copy somewhere else entirely (off-site).
For a website that could mean: the live site, a backup in Box or Object storage, and another copy on your own computer or cloud drive.
Make it automatic
Backups you have to remember don't happen. Schedule them: with a WordPress backup plugin, with automatic server backups, or with backups in IDX Panel.
Test restores
A backup you've never restored is a guess. Every few months, restore to a test location and check that it works.
