What's my IP address?

Your public address, provider and country, or check any IP to see who owns it and whether it's blacklisted.

Finding your IP address…

How it works

What the IP lookup shows

IDX IP Checker shows who an address belongs to and whether it is listed on spam blacklists, using public registry and DNS data only.

Network owner (ASN)

The autonomous system that announces the address, which tells you the provider or company whose network it is on.

Address block and registrant

The block the address belongs to and who registered it, from the regional internet registry's RDAP service.

Reverse DNS

The hostname set for the address. Mail servers need a proper reverse DNS name, or other servers may reject their email.

Spam blacklists

The address is checked against public blacklists, each tested first so a list that does not answer is not shown as clean. Spamhaus refuses public resolvers, so it is left out rather than reported as clean.

Common questions

My server's IP is on a blacklist. What should I do?

Find and stop the cause first, such as a hacked account or an open mail relay. Then request removal on the blacklist's own website; most lists explain their process there.

Why is the location only a country?

The country comes from the registry record of the address block. It shows where the block is registered, which is not always where the server physically is.

Can I look up IPv6 addresses?

Yes. IPv4 and IPv6 addresses both work.
